Position:  Pallative PSW

Region:  Peterborough

Personal Support Worker (PSW) to assist clients in the activities of personal care, household management and generalized services as per the client care plan and in conjunction with SE Health Health Care’s policies and procedures. * Requiring Palliative Personal Support Workers with day, evening availability to work in the in Peterborough community. * $1,000 sign-on bonus provided.-

  • Current PSW or OTA/PTA Certificate 
  • Have minimum of 6 months Palliative experience providing services in a community health care setting.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle.
  • A willingness to attain required SE Health certifications.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work well within a changing environment.
  • A demonstrated appreciation for quality improvement processes.
  • Basic computer skills an asset.
  • This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement.
  • Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care an asset.
  • Core Concepts of Fundamentals for PSWs an asset.
