Service Description: A community-based, family relief support program.

Adult Respite Program - Provides respite support to families caring for an adult 18 years and older with an Intellectual disability and residing in Northumberland County. Eligibility is determined by the Developmental Services Ontario, 1 855 277 2121.  Up to 4 hours per week or 1 weekend per month of support provided based on each family’s individual needs. Fees are nominal.

Children's Respite Program - provides respite support to caregivers of children 0-17 years of age with a handicapping condition residing in Northumberland County. An application is required for service. Referrals may come from any source. The Children’s Program offers respite support up to 4 hours per week or 1 weekend per month based on each family’s individual needs. Fees (if any) are nominal.

Family Home Program - Adults with a developmental disability are matched and supported in a family home setting on a full-time basis.

RESPITESERVICES.COM - is a data base of contract workers who are available to assist families in their care giving role. It also provides training opportunities, workshops, and respite information for families.

Summer Buddy Program - Community activities for children who are matched with a worker for summer recreational opportunities and experiences. Call 905 885 7761 ext. 226 to apply.
