Service Description: Treatment, education and evaluation research services for individuals with a Developmental Disability * Specializing in the service provision of Behaviour Therapy, Autism, Developmental Disabilities, Psychological Assessment of Intellectual Abilities, Educational Seminars and Support Groups.

Services include:
  • Community Behaviour Therapy - Community Behaviour Therapy assists individuals to improve their social awareness and develop alternatives for challenging behaviour using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
  • Adult Education Groups - Child, adolescent and adult social and educational group curriculums to enhance a variety of skills needed to interact with others.
  • Durham ABA Autism Services - Community Behaviour Therapy Program expanded their ABA services to incorporate Durham ABA Based Services and Supports for Children and Youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Ontario Autism Program - Provides Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI), based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), to children and youth who have been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Fees: free for individuals diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability
Application: Referrals are made through the Intake Process.
Waiting Period - Up to 1 Dependent on urgency of presenting problem.
Eligibility / Target Population: Community Behaviour Therapy Services - must be 7 years of age and older, Psychological Assessment of Intellellectual Abilities - must be 18 years of age and older.
