Service Description: YWCA offers an inclusive community where all women, children and gender diverse people can thrive * YWCA Peterborough Haliburton offers women and children shelter, educational programming, counselling, and advocacy, in collaboration with the community and women themselves * Programs include:
  • one on one support, supportive counselling & safety planning, START (Support Team for Abuse Response Today)
  • shelter and second stage housing
  • family court support
  • addressing food security: JustFood, Community Gardens, Nourish Project
  • leadership and learning, education support (Hazel Education Bursary)
