Service Description: Scarborough Women's Centre provides information, education and support services to facilitate the transition away from abuse, poverty and isolation towards economic and emotional independence, free of violence * webinars and workshops are offered on-line and in-person.

Courses, workshops and support groups on topics of concern for women, which provide women with options, support, life skills and information * Topics include:
  • healthy relationships
  • financial planning
  • dealing with anger
  • building self-esteem
  • family law

Fees: Free and voluntary
Application: Self-referral
Eligibility / Target Population: Women 18 years and older, including newcomers who are moving away from abuse, poverty and isolation * special program off-site for women 13-19 years * outreach to women with disabilities and young women
Languages: English
Language Notes: Interpretation is available for those dealing with abuse in counselling through MCIS
