Service Description:

96 bed long-term care home * residential care for 9 private rooms, 20 semi-private rooms, and 32 basic rooms * 24-hour nursing and personal care * access to a doctor and other health professionals
- bedding and furniture
- laundry and housekeeping
- meals
- personal hygiene supplies
- medical supplies and equipment (such as catheters, ostomy bags, or wound care supplies)
- assistance with medication and activities of daily living
- recreation and social programs
Additional services and facilities at an additional cost:
- cable television
- pastoral care
- hair dressing/barber
- foot care
LEVEL OF CARE: This facility offers three levels of care:
LIGHT:
Person requires minimal assistance or supervision with activities of
daily living and availability of 24 hour staff for safety and security.
MEDIUM:
Person requires assistance with all activities of daily living with
possible exception of skin care or, if cognitively impaired, individuals
may require less assistance but supervision and frequent directions.
Generally these individuals are easily redirected and exhibit no
aggressive behaviours, and only slight-moderate agitation.
HEAVY: Person requires considerable assistance with all activities of daily living.
SPECIAL UNITS: N/A
BATHROOM
TYPES: In the private rooms there are private bathrooms and in the
semi-private and basic rooms the bathrooms are shared by the residents
residing in these rooms
SHORT STAY BED TYPE: N/A
TOUR FREQUENCY: This facility provides tours at any time
STRUCTURE TYPE: This facility is a one level structure
FACILITY SECURITY TYPE: This facility provides a secured area on the inside as well as the outside of the building
RESIDENT
CARE SERVICES: This facility provides the following services; routine
and sterile dressings, enterostomal care, catheter care, foot care (at a
charge to the resident), prosthesis care, oxygen (both concentrator and
i-fill), inhalation therapy, deep and oral suctioning, tube feeding
FACILITY INFIRMARY: There is one bed in the infirmary
There is a PALLIATIVE CARE room
FACILITY
LIFESTYLE - PERMISSIONS: Alcohol is only permitted if there is a
written physician order for a resident. The residents are not permitted
to have pets live with them at the facility. Animals are permitted to
visit, provided that they have been innoculated
FURNITURE POLICY: Residents personal furniture is allowed, provided that there is adequate space available.
MEAL
PLAN/SERVICE TYPES: There is a dining room available for the residents.
Tray service is available to a resident who is not well enough to
attend the dining room. There is an area designated for family dining if
requested. Special diets are available if requested. There is no snack
area on the premise
PHYSICIAN VISIT FREQUENCY: The medical advisor for this facility visits biweekly and more often if needed
RESTRAINT METHOD: There are no restraints used at this facility
