Service Description:

Services include:
- Income Services - Assessments for eligibility to receive social assistance.
- Employment Services - Assistance for individuals looking to obtain employment.
- Early Years - Responsible for implementation and administration of the Learning, Earning and Parenting Program, EarlyON Centres, Child Care Fee Subsidy, Child Care fee assistance and special needs resourcing.
- Housing Services - Responsible for maintaining the centralized waiting list for subsidized housing, managing and operating Northumberland County Housing Corporation properties, Co-operative Housing, Non-Profit Housing. Administering the Rent Supplement Program and funding and administering of the Federal Housing Programs. A listing of the buildings can be found at www.northumberlandcounty.ca. Buildings are located in Brighton, Campbellford, Cobourg, Colborne, Hastings, Port Hope and Warkworth.
- Homelessness Services - Assistance to move people from the streets to emergency accommodation and from emergency accommodation to permanent accommodation as well as preventing homelessness.
- Community Outreach Services - Additional support for clients not eligible for the services lists above.
- Food 4 All - centralized food distribution warehouse located in Cobourg, Ontario. The warehouse acquires food and other essential items and redistributes them to local community agencies who in turn distribute them to their clients.
