256-bed long-term care home * residential care for 61 private rooms, 91 semi-private rooms, and 101 basic rooms * 24-hour nursing and personal care * access to a doctor and other health professionals * one short-stay care bed * three interim beds * 5 preferred access beds (for veterans)

LEVEL OF CARE:
LIGHT: Person requires minimal assistance or supervision with activities of daily living and availability of 24 hour staff for safety and security
MEDIUM: Person requires assistance with all activities of daily living with possible exception of skin care or, if cognitively impaired, individuals may require less assistance but supervision and frequent directions. Generally these individuals are easily redirected and exhibit no aggressive behaviours and only slight to moderate agitation
HEAVY: Person requires considerable assistance with all activities of daily living and may also be cognitively impaired
SPECIAL UNIT: Secure unit with a total of 31 beds
BATHROOM TYPES: In the private rooms, the bathrooms are private. In the rooms with the other bed configuration, the bathrooms are shared with one other resident
SHORT STAY BED TYPE: One bed
TOUR FREQUENCY: Appointment only
STRUCTURE TYPE: Five levels. The main entrance is on the second level
FACILITY SECURITY TYPE: This facility has security both inside and outside the building. Outside the facility there are two secure gardens with paved walkways. Inside the facility all exterior doors are magnetically locked. A Wanderguard System is also available
RESIDENT CARE SERVICES:
Assistance with activities of daily living, bladder irrigations, catheters, colostomy and ileostom supply care, dressings - aseptic, sterile, enternal feedings, incontinent products and management, inhalation therapy, oxygen
FURNITURE POLICY: Additional furnishings to make room personable
MEAL PLAN/SERVICE TYPE: Dining area on each floor
PHYSICIAN VISIT FREQUECY: quarterly and as deemed necessary
