174-bed long-term care home * residential care for 34 private rooms, 70 semi-private rooms, and 70 basic rooms * 24-hour nursing and personal care * access to a doctor and other health professionals * three short-stay care beds

- medical supplies and equipment (such as catheters, ostomy bags, or wound care supplies)
- assistance with medication and activities of daily living
- recreation and social programs

LEVEL OF CARE: This facility offers three levels of care:
LIGHT: Person requires minimal assistance or supervision with activities of daily living and availability of 24 hour staff for safety and security
MEDIUM: Person requires assistance with all activities of daily living with possible exception of skin care or, if cognitively impaired, individuals may require less assistance but supervision and frequent directions. Generally these individuals are easily redirected and exhibit no aggressive behaviours, and only slight-moderate agitation
HEAVY: Person requires considerable assistance with all activities of daily living and may also be cognitively impaired

BATHROOM TYPES: Private and shared
SHORT STAY BED TYPE: 3 beds available
TOUR FREQUENCY: Appointment required. Drop-in is accommodated
STRUCTURE TYPE: Three levels
FACILITY SECURITY TYPE: Secured inner courtyard on the second floor. Secured outside areas with locks on doors. Wanderguard System is used in this facility
RESIDENT CARE SERVICES: Routine and sterile dressings, enterostomal care, foot and prosthesis care, catheter care, continuous bladder irrigation if training provided, incontinence supplies (Tena), oxygen concentrator, inhalation therapy, palliative care, oral suctioning, tube feeding. Specialized Behaviour Management is available. Care for Methicillin-resistant Staphlococcus Aureus Positive residents is available
FACILITY INFIRMARY: Restorative care focused on maintaining independence
FACILITY LIFESTYLE - PERMISSIONS: There is unsupervised smoking permitted for safe smokers. Alcohol is permitted with a doctors order and is administered by the nursing department. Pets are permitted to visit once adequate documentation received
FURNITURE POLICY: Personal furniture is allowed depending on the size of the room and the safety
MEAL PLAN / SERVICE TYPES: Meal tray service is available if the resident cannot go to the dining room due to illness. There are four dining rooms located in each unit. Family dining can be accommodated in each dining room or our family celebration room. Special diets can be arranged
PHYSICIAN VISIT FREQUENCY: The family physicians who are the medical advisors of the facility visit twice weekly and more frequently if needed. Residents who have a family physician who has signed an agreement with the facility may visit their patients. The family physician visits at least every 3 months but does visit more frequently if needed
RESTRAINT METHOD: Buckle belts and clasp belts, comfy chairs and side rails
PALLIATIVE CARE ROOM: Families are encouraged to stay as much as they wish with the resident
