Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP)

The Central East Local Health Integration Network (Central East LHIN) plans, funds, integrates and monitors the local health care system, and plans and delivers home and community care services throughout seven sub-regions in Scarborough, the Region of Durham, Northumberland County, Peterborough City and County, and Haliburton County and the City of Kawartha Lakes.

But the LHIN does not work alone. It works closely with highly motivated and engaged patients and caregivers, doctors and nurses, Health Service Provider (HSPs) organizations, Service Provider Organizations (SPOs), community partners (including Social Service agencies, Municipalities, Public Health, Emergency Management Services, Educational Institutions) and the general public, all equally passionate and dedicated to building a high-quality, innovative, patient-centred local health care system.

It is in support of this work that the LHIN is now in the process of developing its next local health system’s strategic plan. Known as an Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP), the IHSP provides the foundation for the Central East LHIN to define and outline how it will achieve its mission, vision, values and strategic initiatives and priorities over a three-year period, from 2019 to 2022.

Now as the LHIN develops the 2019–2022 IHSP (IHSP 5), it wants to connect with its partners, patients, caregivers and residents across the seven sub-regions to hear their thoughts about the local health care system – what’s working and where innovations and improvements can still be made.

Public support in completing a brief 10-minute survey will help to determine where the LHIN can make the biggest difference with the next IHSP. Click here to learn more: http://www.centraleastlhin.on.ca/priorities/ihsp/ihsp5engagement2018.aspx

All survey feedback will be reviewed and considered before the IHSP is submitted to the Central East LHIN Board at the end of October 2018 for their approval. If you have any questions or require any support while completing a survey, contact Parisa Mehfar directly at 905-427-5497/1-866-804-5446 extension 3214 or email Parisa.Mehrfar@lhins.on.ca.
